Iran Targets Industrial Hubs in Bahrain and United Arab Emirates; IRGC Claims Missile and Drone Strikes
Attacks on major aluminium plants raise fears of wider Middle East conflict and global economic impact
Iran Attacks Bahrain and UAE; IRGC Claims Responsibility for Missile and Drone Strikes on Major Industrial Hubs: The conflict in the Middle East is no longer confined solely to military bases; Iran has now begun directly targeting economic and industrial infrastructure. On Saturday, Iran’s ‘Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) claimed responsibility for a joint and targeted operation involving missiles and drones against two massive industrial complexes: ‘Aluminium Bahrain’ (Alba) in Bahrain and ‘Emirates Global Aluminium’ in the United Arab Emirates.
Attack on the ‘Alba’ Project in Bahrain
According to a report by the ‘Bahrain News Agency,’ the ‘Alba’ company has confirmed the attack. Two company employees sustained minor injuries during the incident and are currently receiving medical treatment. In a statement, the company affirmed: “The safety of our employees remains our utmost priority. We are currently assessing the damage to the facility and are striving to maintain operational resilience.”

Iran’s Sensational Claim
According to Iranian state media, the IRGC carried out this attack deliberately. Iran alleges that these aluminum complexes in Bahrain and the UAE are linked to American defense manufacturing. Iran claims that these industries supply raw materials and technical support to the American military and aerospace sectors. The IRGC explicitly stated that this operation serves as retaliation for attacks launched by “American-Zionist” forces against Iran’s industrial infrastructure.
Signs of Further Escalation
The IRGC has issued a warning that this retaliatory strike by Iran will transcend any previous level of aggression. A threat has also been issued stating that Iran will now spare no financial or military assets associated with its adversaries.
Aluminum is a metal of critical importance for aircraft manufacturing and military equipment. The attacks on these two major facilities in the Gulf region are likely to trigger a surge in global aluminum prices. Furthermore, this has significantly escalated tensions in West Asia, and the prospect of a direct military conflict between the United States and Iran has now become even more ominous.
