Pakistan, however, released footage of the operation, stating that the strikes were aimed at militant hideouts and military installations. The operation, reportedly named “Operation Ghazab Lil Haq,” has intensified already fragile relations between the two neighboring countries.

Reacting strongly, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told local media that the time for diplomatic dialogue with Pakistan is over. He warned that Afghanistan would now respond with force.

Following the airstrike, Afghan authorities issued a stern warning, stating that if Kabul is attacked again, Islamabad would be targeted. The Taliban has also claimed retaliatory strikes on Pakistani military bases in Islamabad, Quetta, and Rawalpindi, including the strategic Noor Khan Airbase.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has justified its actions as necessary for national security, accusing Afghan-based militants of targeting Pakistani civilians and crossing “red lines.”

The situation along the Durand Line remains extremely tense, with continuous cross-border firing reported from both sides. With both nations adopting aggressive stances, fears of a larger military conflict in the region have significantly increased.
