Israel Launches Strike on Tehran; Iran Declares Nationwide Emergency
Attack Near Office of Iran’s Supreme Leader Escalates Middle East Tensions Amid US–Iran Strain

In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Israel launched a strike on Tehran, the capital of Iran, on Saturday. According to reports by Associated Press, a massive explosion was heard in Tehran, with eyewitnesses describing significant impact in the area.
Sources indicate that the strike occurred near the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It remains unclear whether the 86-year-old leader was present in the office at the time of the attack.
Following the incident, Iran declared a nationwide state of emergency and immediately closed its airspace. Authorities have heightened security across key installations amid fears of further escalation.
Israel described the operation as a “preventive missile strike,” claiming it was aimed at neutralizing potential threats posed by Iran. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that the action was taken as a pre-emptive measure against emerging dangers. Israeli officials further revealed that the strike was carried out in coordination with the United States.
The attack comes at a sensitive time when diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States were reportedly underway. The latest development has significantly heightened tensions in the region, raising fears of a broader military confrontation in the Middle East.
