Nagpur:
Central Railway has announced changes to the timetable of several key trains operating between Nagpur, Mumbai and Pune, effective from mid-April. Despite track upgrades and the use of advanced locomotive technology, the railway has decided to revise departure and arrival timings of select trains by 10 to 15 minutes citing operational reasons.

The most prominent change affects the Mumbai–Nagpur–Mumbai Duronto Express. From April, the journey time of the train will increase by around 15 minutes. The train currently covers the 800-kilometre distance in 11 hours and 35 minutes; under the revised schedule, it will take approximately 11 hours and 50 minutes.

The new timetable will come into effect from April 14. At present, Train No. 12289 CSMT–Nagpur Duronto Express departs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 7:55 pm. Under the revised schedule, it will depart at 8:35 pm. Accordingly, the train, which currently reaches Nagpur at 8:05 am, will now arrive at 7:50 am.

Similarly, the Nagpur–Mumbai Duronto Express will also see a change in its departure time. The train, which currently departs Nagpur at 8:30 pm, will now leave at 7:55 pm. As a result, its arrival time in Mumbai will shift from 7:20 am to 8:20 am. Many passengers, especially those travelling to the state capital, have expressed inconvenience over this change, terming the decision to advance the departure time as unnecessary.

Vidarbha Express Timings Revised
Central Railway has also announced minor changes to the timetable of the 12105 Gondia–Nagpur–CSMT Vidarbha Express. At present, the train reaches Badnera station at 6:00 am. As per the new schedule, it will arrive at 6:05 am.

Garib Rath and Pune–Nagpur Trains to Run Late
The Pune–Nagpur Garib Rath and Pune–Nagpur Express will also be affected. These trains, which run three times a week, currently reach Nagpur at 9:10 am. Under the revised timetable, they will now arrive at 9:20 am. These changes will be implemented from April 15.
