D Y Patil PGDM Institute Hosts BIZ Tank 2026, Showcases 125+ Innovative Business Ideas from Across India

Pune : D Y Patil PGDM Institute, Akurdi, Pune, successfully hosted BIZ Tank 2026, its flagship annual entrepreneurship platform, on February 6, 2026. The event was organized in partnership with Wirrer Solutions, Pune, and received international support from the Kingdom of Eswatini (South Africa), adding a global dimension to the initiative.

BIZ Tank is designed to identify, nurture, and showcase innovative business ideas by providing students with a real-world pitching environment. The platform enables young entrepreneurs to present original concepts before angel investors, mentors, and industry experts, receive actionable feedback, and explore pathways to develop scalable, market-ready ventures.

BIZ Tank 2026 received an overwhelming response, with over 125 business ideas submitted by participants from approximately 44 institutes across India. Prestigious institutions such as Symbiosis Institute, Marwadi University, IIM Lucknow, VIT Bhopal, and Goa Institute of Management were among the participants. The competition witnessed participation from more than four states, including Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat, with representation from cities such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and others.

Following a rigorous multi-stage AI-based evaluation process designed by Wirrer Solutions, the Top 35 business ideas were shortlisted for the final pitching round.

The final round was evaluated by a distinguished panel of angel investors and industry leaders, including Mr. Bhavesh Vora (MD & CEO, Sernet India), Mr. Girish Salunkhe (SAP Implementation Expert), Mr. Kushal Pittie (Founder & Director, ABK Imports Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Harshal Borse (Founder, Green Globe Biotechnologies & Bharat Biocare), Mr. Alhad Deshpande (Angel Investor), Mr. Deepak Yadav (Early-stage Startup Investor – India, USA, Africa), Mr. Divyansh Dwivedi (Pune Angel Investment Network), Ms. Sonia Govardhan (Director, Beamish International Preschool), Mr. Sumit Hiranandani (Real Estate Leader, West Pune), and Mr. Shailesh Bhor (Program Manager, Microsoft).

The presence of a diverse investor panel, along with international representation from the Government of Eswatini, provided participants with valuable global insights, strategic mentorship, and real-world investment exposure.

First Prize – ₹50,000

The winning team secured ₹6 lakh in on-the-spot funding from five angel investors, along with ₹2 lakh sponsorship from Kriti Management for legal and company registration services. The investors also assured full support for patent filing, company incorporation, and operational setup in Mumbai.
