Election Officers and Assistant Officers Appointed for Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Elections

Pimpri:
The State Election Commission announced the programme for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) general elections on December 15. Elections will be held under a multi-member system for 128 seats across 32 wards, with polling scheduled for January 15, 2026.

For the smooth conduct of the elections, 8 Election Officers and 24 Assistant Election Officers have been appointed. Orders regarding these appointments have been issued with the signature of Shravan Hardikar, Municipal Commissioner and Election Officer.

As per the four-member ward structure, one Election Officer has been appointed for every four wards, making a total of eight Election Officers. Each Election Officer will be assisted by three Assistant Election Officers.

The appointed Election Officers and Assistant Election Officers have been instructed to strictly carry out all election-related duties in accordance with the directions of the State Election Commission, the Municipal Commissioner and Election Officer, the Additional Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner (Election Department) and Nodal Officer, as well as the provisions of the Municipal Corporation Act.
