Maintenance Work at Nigdi Water Treatment Plant; Evening Supply to Remain Completely Shut

Pimpri-Chinchwad: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply on Monday, February 23, 2026, due to scheduled maintenance and repair works at the Nigdi Water Treatment Plant.
The Water Supply Department of PCMC will undertake civil and electrical maintenance work at Sector 23, along with repair and maintenance activities in the city’s water distribution system at the regional level.
As part of this work, water supply from the Nigdi Water Treatment Centre will remain completely shut on Monday, February 23, 2026. Consequently, the evening water supply across all areas of Pimpri-Chinchwad city will remain fully suspended on that day.
Irregular Supply Likely on February 24
The impact of the maintenance work may continue the following day. On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the morning water supply is expected to be irregular and at low pressure in several parts of the city.
The Municipal Corporation has appealed to citizens to take note of the disruption and make adequate water storage arrangements in advance. Residents have also been urged to use water sparingly during the affected period.
The administration has assured that efforts will be made to complete the maintenance work on time and restore normal water supply at the earliest. Citizens are requested to cooperate with the civic body during this temporary inconvenience.
