Career Conclave 2026 guides Goa’s youth on emerging careers, skills and employment opportunities

Panaji | Representative — The Department of Labour and Employment organised Career Conclave 2026 at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim, to guide students and youth on career planning, skill development and emerging employment opportunities.

The day-long conclave featured expert sessions, interactive discussions and guidance on diverse career paths, start-ups, self-employment avenues and government schemes, enabling students to interact with experts and understand industry requirements.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that India is the youngest nation in the world and the role of youth is crucial in nation-building. He highlighted the rapid growth of sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, Cyber Security, Digital Media and Renewable Energy, and stressed that employability today depends on continuous learning, adaptability and practical skills.

The Chief Minister also highlighted government initiatives including the Chief Minister’s Rozgar Yojana and the Goa Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Policy, encouraging students to make informed career choices aligned with the vision of Viksit Goa.

The programme was attended by Labour and Employment Minister Shri Atanasio Monserrate, Commissioner-cum-Secretary IAS Shri Sandip Jacques, Labour and Employment Commissioner Shri Rajesh S. Ajgaonkar, along with other dignitaries, officials, experts and students.
