The Sky Resonated, All Directions Echoed… ‘Shambhuraje Shambhuraje’!
Thunderous Salutations to Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj; Historic Tribute by Dhol-Tasha Troupes in the Presence of the ‘Statue of Hindubhushan’

Pimpri Chinchwad | Saffron flags illuminating the skies… the thunderous beats of dhol-tasha… breathtaking displays of mardani games by valiant mavlas… and the soulful mavalya songs of Avdhut Gandhi setting the spirit aflame… an overwhelming crowd of Shiv-Shambhu devotees… and the shower of Varunraja himself… such an unprecedented and once-in-a-lifetime experience was witnessed by thousands of Shiv-Shambhu lovers and Pimpri-Chinchwad residents. The occasion was the grand tribute of dhol-tasha to Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and the world’s tallest statue dedicated to him, the ‘Statue of Hindubhushan’.
Under the guidance of MLA Mahesh Landge, President of Hindubhushan Smarak Trust, and through the initiative of Maharashtra State Dhol-Tasha Mahasangh, the historic homage event was organized at the Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj International Industrial Exhibition Center, Moshi. Thousands of Shiv-Shambhu devotees thronged the venue. Remarkably, even amidst heavy rains, the ceremony turned out to be a true ‘record-breaker’.
Famous Shiv-geet singer Avdhut Gandhi offered his musical salutation at the feet of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Following this, the working committee of Hindubhushan Smarak Trust was announced. With songs like “Yugat Mandali…”, “Shivrayanchya Buddhi Yukticha Lagna Paran…”, “Shivba Raje… Shivba Raje…”, thousands of participants and instrumentalists kept rhythm.
H.B.P. Sangrambapu Bhandare, who graced the occasion, said that MLA Mahesh Landge is working with the motto of “religious integrity and dedication to duty” to carry forward the thoughts of Shiv-Shambhu, adding emotionally, “I love you Dada.” Along with him, Shiv-Shambhu devotees, Pimpri-Chinchwad office bearers, and activists were present. The program concluded with Shivvandana and flag salutation, followed by a grand fireworks display in the premises of the ‘Statue of Hindubhushan’.
Trust to Work in Line with Shambhuraje’s Ideals…
At this time, the objectives of the memorial were declared by the organizers. Prof. Indrajit Bhosale announced the aims, stating that the Hindubhushan Smarak Trust, Pimpri-Chinchwad, has been established under Section 20 of the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The memorial’s purpose is to propagate and spread the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj—who laid the foundation of Hindavi Swarajya—to future generations and across the world. The thoughts of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj were dedicated to freedom, valor, religious integrity, pursuit of knowledge, and the protection of Swarajya. He strived to safeguard Dharma and culture, and the Trust will dedicate itself to these ideals in the coming years.
All Directions Bowed Before Shiv-Shambhu…
Through the participation of thousands of Shiv-Shambhu devotees and dhol-tasha players, thunderous homage was offered at the feet of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Even Varunraja himself graced this historic moment with his presence. The sky reverberated with the roar of dhol-tasha beats, as if all ten directions bowed before Shiv-Shambhu’s name. More than 3,000 dhols, over 1,000 tashas, and around 500 flags participated in this homage.
Flawless Planning & Teams from Across Maharashtra
More than a hundred renowned dhol-tasha troupes from across Maharashtra participated in the event. Parking, meals, drinking water, and medical facilities were all well-arranged. With precise and thorough planning, the event was conducted smoothly in the presence of thousands. Many famous troupes from all over Maharashtra took part. Meanwhile, Shiv-Shambhu devotees from Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and nearby areas gathered to witness this historic tribute.
Entry into the ‘London Book of Records’
This memorial of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj has been registered as the tallest in the world. Additionally, today’s dhol-tasha homage with such massive participation has been recorded for the first time, and for this, all office bearers of Hindubhushan Trust were honored and felicitated with certificates by the “London Book of Records.”
Santpeeth & Mardani Games Drew Attention
The mardani games presented before the statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj captivated the audience. Through Chikhali Santpeeth of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, kirtans were performed. A young Shiv devotee’s roaring “Shivgarjana” also became a highlight.
“Those Demons Will Not Be Spared Without Public Justice…!”
Looking at the current situation in Maharashtra, when injustices are inflicted upon our mothers and sisters, I recall Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Through the Trust, my colleagues and I will take an aggressive stand against such injustice. Recently, an atrocity occurred against a differently-abled girl in Walchandnagar. If such a crime had happened to someone in your own family, would you have stayed silent? In the future, if any injustice is committed against women, there will be no need to go to the police—Mahesh Landge and his associates will not rest without publicly punishing such demons, declared MLA Mahesh Landge, President of Hindubhushan Smarak Trust, in his fiery speech.
