After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, the process of paying the difference to the employees had started slowly. Earlier, the distribution of the first installment was completed on the initiative of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, but there was a delay in the second installment. In this regard, BJP leader MLA Mahesh Landge has continuously followed up with the municipal administration in the interest of the PMP employees. He has been successful. Also, Ravindra Landge, Santosh Kalje, Dinkar Kalje and Umesh Dhawade have consistently followed up on behalf of the ‘PMPML’ employees.

MLA Landge had ensured the distribution of the first installment of the difference after discussing with the then Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Shekhar Singh. After that, he tried to withdraw the amount early by continuously instructing Commissioner Shravan Hardikar for the second installment. The relevant meeting was attended by the Commissioners of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations, trade union office bearers and other senior officers. In this discussion, it was decided that the Seventh Pay Commission difference will be distributed to the employees of the corporation in four installments.

MLA Landage said, “Along with the second installment, the remaining two installments will also be distributed early. The employees should get their due amount on time. This decision is very important for the welfare of the employees. Considering the financial deficit in the budget of 2025-26 by the corporation, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations will make up the difference from their own income.

We have continuously made efforts to ensure that all the employees of ‘PMPML’ get the difference of the Seventh Pay Commission early. Along with the second installment, the remaining installments will also be distributed early. Our priority is that the employees get their due amount on time. It is expected that this decision will make all the employees satisfied and improve the functioning of the corporation.
