Pimpri-Chinchwad | To develop the road falling under the jurisdiction of the Forest Department at Mouje Dudulgaon in the Bhosari Assembly constituency, it will need to be transferred to the Municipal Corporation administration. BJP MLA Mahesh Landge has followed up on this issue. Recently, officers from the Forest Department conducted an on-site inspection of the road. This is expected to accelerate the road development work within the forest area.

To strengthen the roads and basic infrastructure facilities within the forest limits at Mouje Dudulgaon, MLA Landge has persistently demanded that the Municipal Corporation take over the area. A meeting was held in Pune in the presence of State Forest Minister Ganesh Naik, during which the minister issued instructions for positive action in this regard.

From the Forest Department, a 0.8321-hectare area from Gat No. 190 (Charholi Phata to Dudulgaon) under the sanctioned development plan for a 24-meter-wide road is to be transferred. Additionally, a 0.521-hectare area from Gat No. 78 P (Talekar Patil Chowk to Sainath Chowk) under the sanctioned development plan for an 18-meter-wide road has been requested.

A self-explanatory report will be prepared to detail the forest classification, area specifics, any ongoing legal matters within the area, forest encroachment, probable tree cutting, sanctuary status, protected area status, eco-sensitive zone aspects, etc. This report will be sent to the Deputy Conservator of Forests. For this purpose, the site inspection was carried out.

Present during the inspection were Sushilkumar Lavate, Deputy Engineer from the Municipal Corporation’s Structural Department; Consultant Revannath Sakhare; Forest Range Officer Raju Varak; Forest Circle Officer Sheetal Khendke; Forest Guard Ashok Gaikwad; Forest Worker Laxman Tingre; and MLA Landge’s associate Aniket Gaikwad, among others.

“There is a need to strengthen roads and basic facilities in the forest department area at Mouje Dudulgaon. Considering the inconvenience faced by residents of Annabhau Sathe Nagar, the road in the forest jurisdiction should be handed over to the Municipal Corporation for development. We are consistently following up on this matter. State Forest Minister Ganesh Naik has taken a positive stance. After the on-site inspection by the administration, the road transfer process can be expedited.”
