Central Railway Introduces 12 Special Trains for Pune, Nagpur and Mumbai Under ‘Time Table on Demand’ Scheme

Considering the increasing passenger rush towards Nagpur during the month of February, Central Railway has decided to operate a total of 12 special trains under the ‘Time Table on Demand (ToD)’ scheme. These special trains will run on the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)–Nagpur, Pune–Nagpur, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)–Nagpur routes. These services are expected to help reduce the pressure caused by festive travel as well as sudden increases in passenger demand.

On the LTT–Nagpur–LTT route, special train numbers 01021/01022 will operate for a total of four trips. Train number 01021 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:55 am on 14th and 21st February and will reach Nagpur at 3:45 pm on the same day. On the return journey, train number 01022 will depart from Nagpur at 8:00 pm on 14th and 21st February and will arrive at LTT at 11:45 am the next day.

These special trains will consist of LHB coaches, including 1 AC Second Class, 6 AC Third Class, 9 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 General Second Class coaches, one General Second Class-cum-Guard Brake Van, and 1 Generator Van. The railway administration has stated that priority has been given to passenger safety and comfortable travel.

In addition, special trains will also operate on the Pune–Nagpur–Pune route. Train numbers 01467/01468 will run for a total of four trips. Train number 01467 will depart from Pune at 3:50 pm on 13th and 20th February and will reach Nagpur at 6:30 am the following day. On the return journey, train number 01468 will depart from Nagpur at 8:00 am on 14th and 21st February and will arrive in Pune at 11:30 pm.

Reservations for all these special trains will open from 10th February at all reservation counters as well as on the IRCTC website. Central Railway has appealed to passengers to take advantage of these additional rail services.
