A day after violent clashes disrupted the CJP Parliament March at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, CJP chief Abhijeet Dipke issued an emotional apology to supporters, saying he could have done more to protect protesters from the alleged police crackdown.
Addressing injured demonstrators on the second day of the ongoing ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest, Dipke expressed regret over the violence and especially apologised to women protesters who, according to him, were allegedly assaulted during the police action.

“I apologise to all our supporters, especially the girls who were allegedly assaulted by male police officers. We could have done better. I could have tried harder to protect you from the brutal actions of Delhi Police,” Dipke said.
He further claimed that the government was prepared to let more students suffer in order to protect Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, whom he blamed for the deaths of over 20 students.
Dipke appealed to every injured protester to contact him personally through direct messages, stating that he wanted to apologise individually and assure them that the movement would continue.
“If you are injured and watching this message, please send me a DM. I want to speak with you personally and apologise. We will continue fighting for every one of you,” he said.

Speaking to the media, Dipke levelled serious allegations against Delhi Police, accusing officers of using excessive force on young protesters. He alleged that teenagers were brutally beaten, several suffered head injuries during the lathi-charge, and one female protester was allegedly assaulted while police attempted to disperse the crowd.
He claimed that the organisers decided to suspend Monday’s protest to prevent further injuries and alleged that more than 150 students were admitted to hospitals, while one young woman remains in critical condition after allegedly being struck on the neck during the police action.
Dipke also questioned how trucks allegedly loaded with stones reached the Jantar Mantar area despite police checking every protester’s bag before entry. He demanded answers from Delhi Police regarding the presence of the stones near the protest site.
The CJP leader further alleged that representatives invited for discussions outside Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence were detained, their mobile phones confiscated, and they were prevented from leaving. He also claimed that police personnel removed their nameplates before carrying out the operation.
Reiterating that the agitation would continue, Dipke declared that if the government wished to hold talks, its representatives should come to Jantar Mantar, insisting that the protesters would not move from the protest site.
