PM Modi Unveils ₹15,000 Job Incentive Scheme in Bihar, Targets RJD Over Past Governance

Motihari, Bihar — July 19, 2025 |
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in East Champaran’s Motihari, launched a new Central scheme aimed at first-time private sector job seekers. Starting August 1, youths getting their first job in a private company will receive ₹15,000 from the government under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, part of a ₹1 lakh crore initiative.
The scheme, announced in the 2024-25 Union Budget and approved by the Cabinet on July 1, will run from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027.
Modi used the occasion to criticize the RJD-Congress alliance, accusing them of halting development and making false job promises in exchange for land. He contrasted their past rule with the NDA’s performance, highlighting transparent government appointments, infrastructure progress, and various welfare initiatives.
He praised Nitish Kumar’s government for increasing pensions and launching a 125-unit free electricity scheme, which begins on August 1. Modi emphasized Bihar’s transformation under the NDA, saying the state had moved from “lantern era” politics to a “new era of development.”
Modi also inaugurated development projects worth ₹7,200 crore and flagged off four Amrit Bharat trains to reduce regional migration to metros.
The PM highlighted the success of schemes like PMAY, Jan Dhan Yojana, and Lakhpati Didi, saying over 7 lakh pucca homes had been built in Bihar, and 3.5 crore women had opened bank accounts.
Asserting the importance of keeping Bihar aligned with the NDA, he urged voters to “protect Bihar from the ill intentions” of the Opposition and continue supporting the alliance.
