President Muizzu welcomed PM Modi with a warm embrace. At this time, the full cabinet was present at the airport to receive Modi, including the Maldivian Foreign Minister, Defence Minister, Finance Minister, and Homeland Security Minister.
PM Modi is visiting the Maldives on the invitation of President Muizzu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited as the chief guest for the Maldives’ 60th Independence Day celebration. This year also marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and the Maldives.
