Pimpri–Chinchwad: The Balasaheb Kunjir international-standard sports complex developed in Pimple Saudagar is no longer just a playground, but is steadily gaining recognition as a center for shaping future athletes. Spread across nearly 100,000 square feet, this sports complex stands as a living example of firm political will—where development does not merely mean constructing buildings, but shaping the future of generations.
The complex offers state-of-the-art facilities including an international-standard football ground, a walking and jogging track, a basketball court, and a modern cricket pitch. Behind all these amenities lies not just the intention to promote sports, but a clear vision of building a healthy, strong, and confident society.
The walking and jogging track around the ground has infused new energy into Pimple Saudagar during mornings and evenings. Senior citizens regularly walk here for their health, while the youth can be seen running energetically. At the same venue, people of all age groups—from children to adults—enjoy playing on the basketball court.
Another distinctive feature of this sports complex is that the cricket pitch is not limited only to male players. Women’s teams are now regularly practicing here as well. Not only from Pimple Saudagar, but from across Pimpri–Chinchwad city, a collective group of 167 women cricketers trains on this ground. As a result, women’s participation in the sports sector is receiving a new direction and momentum.

Meanwhile, in Pimpri–Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Ward No. 28 (Pimple Saudagar–Rahatani area), the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign is receiving an enthusiastic response. BJP’s official candidates Shatrughan Kate, Anita Kate, Sandesh Kate, and Kunda Bhise have taken the lead in campaigning, and a positive atmosphere is clearly visible among voters on the issue of development works.
