In a devastating road accident, 19 people were killed when a gravel-laden truck collided head-on with a passenger RTC bus in Mirjaguda village, Vikarabad district, Telangana, on Sunday (November 3).

According to Chevella ACB officer B. Krishnan, the RTC bus had departed from Tandur and was on its way to Chevella when tragedy struck near Mirjaguda. The truck, reportedly carrying construction gravel, was traveling at high speed in the opposite direction and rammed into the bus.

The impact of the collision was severe, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged. Preliminary reports confirm that 19 people, including the truck driver and several bus passengers, have lost their lives in the crash.

Local authorities and rescue teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, while police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.

Officials suspect negligent driving and over-speeding as possible causes. The exact circumstances leading to the collision are being examined.
