Mumbai: Veteran actress Medha Manjrekar, wife of acclaimed filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer. The actress shared the update through an emotional social media post, opening up about her treatment journey and expressing gratitude to everyone who stood by her during the difficult phase.

Known for her performances in films such as De Dhakka, Natsamrat, and Kaksparsh, Medha Manjrekar said the first phase of her treatment is now nearing completion.
In her heartfelt post, she thanked her doctors, nurses, family, friends, spiritual mentors, and especially her husband Mahesh Manjrekar for their unwavering support. She shared that the love, blessings, and encouragement she received from people helped her overcome one of the toughest phases of her life, alongside surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
Medha also posted several photographs from her treatment at Hinduja Hospital, giving followers a glimpse into her recovery journey.
Reacting to her mother’s post, actress Sai Manjrekar shared an emotional message on social media, writing, “You are so incredibly strong… I am so proud of you, Mom.” Her heartfelt tribute touched fans and well-wishers across social media.
Several celebrities, including Ketaki Mategaonkar, Swapnil Joshi, Neena Kulkarni, Manjiri Oak, Tejaswini Lonari, Prajakta Gaikwad, Priya Bapat, Mansi Naik, Megha Dhade, and Manva Naik, also extended their support and wished Medha a speedy recovery.
Swapnil Joshi wrote that Medha Manjrekar is exceptionally strong and expressed confidence that she would overcome this difficult phase soon. Ketaki Mategaonkar called her an inspiration and encouraged her to continue smiling through the journey.
Coinciding with her birthday on July 13, the actress received an outpouring of love, prayers, and warm wishes from colleagues, friends, and fans across the entertainment industry.
