Reservation Lottery for Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Elections to Be Held on Nov 11
Programme to be Conducted Under the Chairmanship of Pune Divisional Commissioner Dr Chandrakant Pulkundwar at Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium

Pimpri, November 10, 2025: The reservation lottery for the upcoming Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) general elections will be held on November 11, 2025, at 11 am at the Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad. The State Election Commission has appointed Pune Divisional Commissioner Dr Chandrakant Pulkundwar as the authorised officer to conduct the lottery, which will take place under his chairmanship.
The PCMC Election Department has completed all necessary preparations for the draw, which determines seat reservations for various categories as per election norms.
Ahead of the event, a mock drill and preparatory meeting were held today under the chairmanship of Dr Pulkundwar to ensure the smooth conduct of the process. The session was attended by key officials including Additional Commissioners Pradip Jambhale Patil and Trupti Sandbhor, Deputy Commissioner of Police Shweta Khedkar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Vitthal Kubde, Smart City CEO Kiranraj Yadav, and senior PCMC officials such as Joint Commissioner Manoj Lonkar, Municipal Secretary Mukesh Kolap, Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase, Joint City Engineer Bapu Gaikwad, Chief Information and Technology Officer Vijay Borude, and Election Department Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar.
Also present were Chief Security Officer Uday Jarande, Special Officer Kiran Gaikwad, Public Relations Officer Prafulla Puranik, Police Inspector Ankush Bangar, and several officers and staff members from different departments assigned election duties.
During the meeting, Dr Pulkundwar reviewed the overall readiness of the Election Department and issued directions to ensure adequate security arrangements on the day of the lottery. Officials from the Police and Security Departments also carried out a detailed inspection of the venue and surrounding premises to assess and strengthen safety measures.
Traffic Restrictions Around the Venue
To ensure smooth conduct of the programme, entry of all private vehicles will be restricted around the Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium on November 11, except for authorised government vehicles. Citizens have been urged not to bring private vehicles to the venue, as per the advisory issued by the PCMC Election Department.
Four-Stage Reservation Process
The reservation lottery will be conducted in four stages as per the prescribed 2025 guidelines:

Draw for Scheduled Caste (Women) category.

Draw for Scheduled Tribe (Women) category.

Draw for Backward Class of Citizens (General and Women) categories.

Draw for Open Category (Women) seats.
