PM Kisan 21st Installment: Big Update for Farmers — Diwali ‘Gift’ Likely Soon, But Only for Those Who’ve Completed e-KYC
The 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme may be credited before Diwali; farmers without completed e-KYC will miss out on the benefit, warns government.

Millions of farmers across India are eagerly awaiting the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme — a crucial financial support program for cultivators. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments directly into their bank accounts, providing timely assistance for farming needs and household expenses.
So far, the Central Government has successfully credited 20 installments to beneficiaries. The 20th installment, released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 2, reached over 9.7 crore farmers across the country. The 21st installment has now become the center of attention for crores of farmers ahead of the festive season.
🎁 Diwali Gift for Farmers Likely
According to reports, the 21st installment is expected to be released before Diwali, offering a festive “gift” to farmers. The government is likely to credit the funds before the festival to bring financial relief during the celebrations. However, the official release date has not yet been announced by the Ministry of Agriculture.
🌧️ Relief for Flood-Affected Farmers
Farmers in Maharashtra, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir, who were severely affected by heavy rains and floods, have already received early payments. The central government prioritized these regions to provide timely support for recovery and crop losses.
⚠️ No e-KYC, No Installment
The government has introduced strict measures to ensure transparency and eliminate fake beneficiaries. Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC process will not receive the 21st installment.
Only verified farmers whose Aadhaar and bank accounts are properly linked will get the payment. Those who haven’t completed the process risk being excluded from the beneficiary list.

Farmers can easily complete the e-KYC process online from home:
Visit the official PM-Kisan website: www.pmkisan.gov.in
Go to the “Farmers Corner” section and click on “e-KYC”.
Enter your Aadhaar number and submit it.
Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Once verified, your e-KYC will be updated and you will become eligible for the upcoming installment.

The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has emerged as a major financial lifeline for farmers, especially in times of uncertainty caused by weather changes, fluctuating markets, and natural disasters. The government continues to improve transparency in the scheme by linking beneficiary data directly with Aadhaar and bank accounts, helping prevent fraud and duplication.
Though the official date for the 21st installment is yet to be confirmed, strong indications suggest that the funds may be credited before Diwali. Farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC process immediately to avoid any delays in receiving the benefit.
