Pimpri: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has collected ₹556.84 crore in property tax during the current financial year, reflecting a strong response from citizens to its tax collection initiatives and digital payment facilities.

According to the Tax Assessment and Collection Department, the civic body recovered ₹556,84,34,729 in property tax between April 1, 2026 and August 4, 2026 (12 PM). Officials said the encouraging response to various rebate schemes has significantly contributed to the collection figures.
Online Payments Dominate Tax Collection
A majority of taxpayers preferred digital payment methods this year. Of the total collection, ₹512.77 crore was received through online transactions, while ₹44.06 crore was collected through offline modes.
The offline collection includes:
- ₹23.85 crore through cash payments.
- ₹18.43 crore through cheques.
- ₹1.76 crore through demand drafts.
The figures highlight the growing adoption of digital payment systems among property owners across Pimpri-Chinchwad.
More Than 7.44 Lakh Registered Properties
PCMC currently has 7,44,630 registered properties, including residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use properties and vacant plots. The civic administration had made comprehensive arrangements to ensure that tax bills reached all property owners on time.
PCMC Appeals to Defaulters
The municipal corporation has urged property owners who have not yet paid their dues to do so without further delay. Officials stated that timely property tax collection is crucial for funding civic infrastructure and development projects across the city.
Mayor Ravi Landge said citizens have shown responsibility by paying property tax on time and contributing to the city’s development. He added that the overwhelming response to online payments reflects growing public confidence in PCMC’s digital services and appealed to the remaining taxpayers to clear their dues promptly.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi said property tax remains one of the most important revenue sources for the corporation. He urged defaulters to cooperate with the civic administration by paying their pending property tax without delay, ensuring uninterrupted funding for development works across Pimpri-Chinchwad.
