Mumbai: A Mumbai Police constable deployed for security duty outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment died while on duty on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Rayte, 41, who was posted with the Mumbai Police’s LA-4 unit.

According to senior police officials, Rayte was deployed outside Galaxy Apartment at around 6 PM on Friday as part of the security arrangements. During his duty, he suddenly complained of feeling unwell and collapsed at the spot.
His colleagues immediately rushed him to the emergency department of Bhabha Hospital in Bandra for medical treatment. However, after examining him, doctors declared him dead.
The exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed. Preliminary information suggests that Rayte may have suffered a heart attack, but authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report to establish the precise cause of death.
The incident has raised concern among police personnel deployed for security duties, while further details are expected to emerge after the completion of the medical and procedural formalities.
