In a shocking revelation, Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil has claimed that a conspiracy to assassinate him has been planned.
Speaking to TV9 Marathi, Jarange confirmed the reports and said that he would soon make the details public.
“Yes, there is a plot to kill me. I will disclose everything tomorrow at 11 AM,” he said in his brief reaction.
Jarange, who has been the face of the Maratha reservation movement across Maharashtra, hinted that “a very powerful person” may be involved in the alleged plan.
He, however, remained defiant, stating that he was not afraid of death.
“I am not scared of dying,” Jarange asserted, adding that he would continue to fight for the rights of the Maratha community.
The activist has been leading statewide protests demanding reservation in government jobs and education for the Maratha community. His movement has drawn massive public support but has also created political tremors across Maharashtra.
Jarange’s claim of an assassination plot has sparked political tension and public concern. Security agencies are expected to take note of the allegations and may review his security arrangements.
He is scheduled to address the media tomorrow morning at 11 AM, where he is likely to name those allegedly involved in the conspiracy.
