Maharashtra Cabinet Approves ₹1,647 Crore Additional Fund for Solapur–Tuljapur–Dharashiv Broad Gauge Railway Project
State Government to Bear 50% of the Project Cost; Decision Expected to Boost Rural Connectivity and Development

Mumbai:
The Maharashtra Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved the revised estimate of ₹3,295.74 crore for the Solapur–Tuljapur–Dharashiv new broad gauge railway line project.

As part of this approval, the state government will contribute ₹1,647.87 crore, accounting for 50% of the total project cost. The decision aims to accelerate ongoing infrastructure projects and enhance railway connectivity in the rural and semi-urban regions of the state.
Officials stated that the project will improve regional mobility, boost economic activity, and support industrial as well as agricultural growth across the Solapur–Tuljapur–Dharashiv belt. The approval reflects the state’s focus on strengthening its transportation network and providing better access to remote areas.
