Pune: A deeply disturbing incident has surfaced from the Parvati foothills area of Pune, where a 70-year-old man allegedly attempted to sexually assault his 9-year-old granddaughter. The case has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about child safety within homes.
This incident comes close on the heels of the Nasrapur child assault and murder case, intensifying fears over rising crimes against minors.
“He used to drag me when you were away” – Victim’s Statement
According to the victim’s parents, both of whom work during the day, the incident came to light when the mother returned home late at night and noticed disturbing signs.
The child revealed,
“When you used to go to work, grandfather would drag me towards him. I once ran outside to escape.”

Mother Demands Death Penalty
The victim’s mother expressed extreme anger and demanded strict punishment, stating,
