Diwali Gift for Chinchwad Constituency through Efforts of MLA Shankar Jagtap

₹12 crore sanctioned by the State Government for various development works

Pimpri- Chinchwad : Through the special efforts of Chinchwad constituency MLA Shankar Jagtap, the State Government has sanctioned around ₹12 crore under various ongoing schemes. This fund will be utilized for projects related to public amenities and civic infrastructure within the constituency. On the occasion of the Diwali festival, this allocation has effectively become a “Diwali gift” for the Chinchwad constituency. The fund especially benefits the rapidly developing areas of Wakad, Punawale, Mamurdi, and Kiwale, giving a boost to their development.

The Mahayuti Government of Maharashtra is focused on achieving developmental goals and fulfilling the aspirations of the people. BJP MLA Shankar Jagtap has been consistently working to secure funds from the government for various projects. On the eve of Diwali, through his efforts, the State Government has sanctioned funds for several works in the Chinchwad constituency.

Under the Special Provision Scheme for the development of basic civic amenities in municipal areas, ₹5 crore has been sanctioned for four major projects. These include:

  • Construction of a well-equipped multi-purpose building at Ravet

  • Setting up a sports complex on municipal land in Mamurdi

  • Establishment of a sports complex at Wakad-Venunagar

  • Expansion of the Bharat Ratna Park at Kiwale to national standards

In addition, ₹5 crore has been sanctioned by the government for providing specific urban services and facilities in the jurisdiction of local self-government bodies. This includes:

  • Construction of a social hall for senior citizens, a sports complex, a swimming pool, and a tennis court in Wakad

  • Construction of a community hall, library, and recreation center in Punawale

  • Beautification works in the Sangvi area

Under the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Social Development Scheme, ₹2 crore has been sanctioned for 14 works, out of which ₹20 lakh has already been made available. These include:

  • Installation of water and drainage lines in Kiwale MB Camp slum

  • Construction of a library, concreting of roads, and community hall in the same area

  • Beautification of the traffic island and construction of a new public toilet in Nagasen Nagar slum

  • Building of a compound wall and study center at the Buddha Vihar in Laxminagar, Pimples Gurav

  • Various improvement works around the Vetalnagar Buddha Vihar slum area

  • Laying of drainage lines in Dalitwasti locality at Thergaon Jagatapnagar

  • Installation of drainage lines in the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar slum, Pimples Gurav
