Citizens Respond Enthusiastically to Public Welfare Camp Organised by Corporator Rahul Kalate in Wakad
One-Stop Citizen Facilitation Initiative Brings Government Welfare Schemes and Civic Services Closer to Residents
Pimpri- Chinchawad | A large number of citizens participated in the Public Welfare Camp organised at the office of Corporator Rahul Kalate, making the initiative a resounding success. The camp was aimed at providing doorstep access to various government welfare schemes, facilitating registrations, and addressing civic grievances under one roof.

The camp offered a wide range of free government services, including Ayushman Bharat (ABHA) Card registration, Senior Citizen Card, National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) for ST bus services, Aadhaar and Voter ID correction and registration, SIR Mapping, Ration Card-related services, Women and Child Welfare Department schemes, Sanjay Gandhi Scheme, Shravan Bal Niradhar Scheme, PMPML Free Bus Card registration for persons with disabilities, Income Certificate, Domicile/Residence Certificate, along with information and registration for several welfare schemes implemented by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).
The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with citizens appreciating the convenience of accessing multiple government services at a single location. Dedicated volunteers and officials guided beneficiaries through the documentation and registration process, ensuring that eligible residents could avail themselves of government benefits without unnecessary delays.
In addition to welfare services, residents also raised civic issues related to drainage, water supply, solid waste management, road infrastructure, and other local development concerns. Corporator Rahul Kalate personally interacted with the citizens, listened to their grievances, and assured them that the issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt action.
Citizens welcomed the initiative and expressed hope that such public welfare camps would be organised regularly to ensure that government schemes reach every eligible beneficiary efficiently.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Kalate reaffirmed his commitment to resolving public grievances and ensuring that welfare initiatives of the government are effectively implemented at the grassroots level.
