Chetan Agrawal Case: Police Expand Probe

The investigation into the sensational Ketan Agrawal murder case in Pune has intensified, with police widening the scope of their probe beyond the two main accused. After conducting a late-night crime scene reconstruction with Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, investigators are now preparing to question Siya’s parents, while her brother Sahil has also come under the police radar.

According to police, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were taken to the Lohagad area around 11 PM as part of a scene reconstruction exercise. Officers questioned the duo about the route they allegedly took with Ketan Agrawal and sought details of the events that unfolded at the hill fort.

The crime scene visit was aimed at verifying the accused’s statements and matching them with the evidence collected during the investigation.

Police officials have now expanded the investigation and are expected to record the statements of Siya’s parents in the coming days. Investigators are also likely to question Vishal Agrawal’s maternal uncle as part of the ongoing probe.

Meanwhile, police have uncovered another important angle involving Sahil Goyal, Siya’s brother. During the investigation, officials found that Sahil and Chetan Chaudhary were known to each other before the alleged crime.

Investigators revealed that Sahil and Chetan used to play cricket together. It was during one such cricket match that Chetan allegedly met Siya for the first time. The two reportedly met again at a Diwali party, following which their interactions increased significantly.

Police further stated that the investigation has revealed 238 hours of communication and 2,004 phone calls between Siya and Chetan, a finding that is now being closely examined as part of the case.

Earlier, Ketan Agrawal’s family had alleged that Sahil could also have played a role in the conspiracy behind the murder. They had claimed that more people may have been involved in planning the crime and urged police to investigate every possible angle.

Following these allegations, police have now begun questioning Sahil as part of the expanding investigation. Officials are expected to analyse the fresh evidence before presenting further findings in court.

The two main accused, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, are scheduled to be produced before the court on June 29, where investigators are expected to seek further legal proceedings based on the progress of the case.
