Akhanda 2:
The highly anticipated film Akhanda 2 starring Nandamuri Balakrishna has run into unexpected legal complications just before its scheduled release. The production house, 14 Reels Plus, announced that the release date has been delayed due to unresolved documentation and ownership verification issues.

The first part of Akhanda was a massive blockbuster, creating strong hype around the sequel. However, due to legal disputes tied to rights and pending dues, the film cannot be released in theatres, digital platforms or satellite broadcast until further orders.

According to reports, the Madras High Court issued directions stating that the film cannot be released until an earlier arbitration verdict favoring Eros International is settled — involving approximately ₹28 crores plus 14% interest. Eros has alleged that 14 Reels Plus LLP is linked to 14 Reels Entertainment and releasing the film without clearing dues would allow financial benefit without accountability.

The makers canceled premiere shows just a day before the scheduled release and issued an emotional apology to fans. They confirmed that the delay is temporary and a new release date will be shared soon once the legal process is completed.

Fans now await further updates while the film remains paused due to the ongoing legal battle.
