ST Bus Accident: 16 Passengers Injured After Bus Overturns on Nanded–Gangakhed Highway
A Maharashtra State Transport (ST) bus overturned late Wednesday night near Malevadi, leaving 16 passengers injured — four of them in critical condition.

major accident occurred on the Nanded–Gangakhed National Highway around 10 PM on Wednesday, where a Maharashtra State Transport (ST) bus overturned. The incident left a total of 16 passengers injured, with four reported to be in serious condition.
The bus, bearing registration number MH-14 KQ 9761, was traveling on the Nanded–Pune route and heading from Palam to Gangakhed. At Malevadi, where single-side road construction work is underway, the driver lost control, causing the bus to slip off the road and fall into a roadside ditch, resulting in the overturn.
Among the injured are passengers from Loha, Washim, Bothi, Kalamnuri, Parli, Pune, and Nanded. Twelve of the injured passengers are currently being treated at the Gangakhed Sub-District Hospital. According to witnesses, the bus driver and his assistant acted swiftly and played a crucial role in rescuing many passengers, preventing further casualties.
Local police have registered a case and initiated further investigations. Residents stated that as roadwork continues on the national highway, travelers must remain extremely cautious while driving at night.
