Pune:
The long-awaited examination for the Cluster Resource Center Coordinator (Center Head) recruitment in Maharashtra has once again faced a setback.
The Maharashtra State Examination Council had announced that the ‘Cluster Resource Center Coordinator (Center Head) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination – 2025’ would be conducted between December 1 and 5, 2025.

However, due to technical and administrative challenges, the council has decided to postpone the examination.
As per an official statement released by Commissioner Anuradha Oak, the exam is now expected to be held in January or February 2026, with the revised dates to be announced soon on the council’s official website.

The exam, intended for 2,410 Center Head posts across the state’s cluster resource centers, was to be conducted online.
The application deadline, which was earlier November 10, has now been extended to January 1, 2026.
Consequently, candidates’ eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, and experience will be considered valid as of January 1, 2026, the notification clarified.

Background:

Interestingly, this is not the first time the Center Head exam has faced delays.
The 2023 recruitment test for the same posts was also postponed at the last moment due to technical issues.
With this latest deferment, the examination has now been delayed twice in two years, leaving many teacher candidates frustrated.

Election-Related Complications:

Another reason for the postponement is the upcoming local body elections scheduled for December 2, 2025.
Teachers across the state are heavily involved in election duties — from booth management to supervision — making it logistically difficult for them to appear for the exam during the same period.
Hence, the State Examination Council decided to defer the exam to avoid a clash between election responsibilities and examination schedules.

Official Statement:

“Due to the upcoming elections, TET-related work, and certain technical difficulties within the Examination Council, the Center Head exam has been postponed. The revised schedule will be announced soon,”
Anuradha Oak, Commissioner, Maharashtra State Examination Council.
