Fraud of ₹54 Lakh by Luring with High Returns in Share Market; Five Arrested from Madhya Pradesh and Delhi by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Cyber Cell

Pimpri-Chinchwad | A woman was defrauded of ₹54 lakh under the pretext of receiving 20% high returns in the name of share trading. In this case, the Cyber Police, with the help of technical investigation, arrested five individuals from Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.

The arrested accused are Poonam Mangilal Jain (42, resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh), Ganesh Poonamchand Dhole (28, resident of Madhya Pradesh), Rocky alias Rajesh Jayprakash Kushwaha (28, resident of Delhi), Pradeepkumar Madanlal Kumar Ken (30, resident of Delhi), and Harshit Omprakash Ghotan (28, resident of Delhi). The woman had clicked on a link to a share market advertisement, which falsely promised returns of 5% to 20% on investment. Following this, the accused asked her to download an app and compelled her to invest ₹54 lakh.

Within a few days, a profit of ₹2.52 crore was shown on that app. To withdraw that amount, the woman was asked to pay various charges. As she grew suspicious, she lodged a complaint at the police station. Based on the complaint, the police began their investigation and arrested the accused from Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.

This operation was carried out by a team from the Cyber Police Station comprising of Police Inspector Ravikiran Nale, Assistant Police Inspector Pravin Swami, Police Sub-Inspector Vaibhav Patil, Sagar Poman, Prakash Katakade, Rohit Dolas, Police Sub-Inspector Vidya Patil, Police Constables Deepak Mane, Deepak Bhosale, Subhash Patil, Vinayak Mhaskar, Hemant Kharat, Nitesh Bichewar, Atul Lokhande, Abhijit Ukirde, Suraj Shinde, Aniket Temgire, Madhav Arote, Swapnil Khanse, Sopan Bodhawad, Deepali Chavan, Bhavika Pradhan, Monika Chittewar, and Smita Patil.
