Pimpri-Chinchwad: On the occasion of the birthday of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune and Beed districts, Hon. Ajit Dada Pawar, a tree plantation drive was organized in various societies in the Moshi area by the Pimpri-Chinchwad City President of the Nationalist Congress Party’s Women’s Wing, Prof. Kavita Alhat.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from women, senior citizens, and youth. Various types of trees such as Gulmohar, Ashoka, Almond, Saptaparni, Peepal, and Karanj were planted in the premises of different housing societies in the ward. Residents of each society actively took part and committed to nurturing the saplings.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Kavita Alhat said,
“Trees are the foundation of life. As pollution increases, planting and nurturing trees has become the need of the hour. Trees, being a source of oxygen, must be preserved, and this is our collective responsibility. Citizens should take initiative to create a clean, beautiful, and green ward.”

A Model Environmental Initiative…
This campaign raised awareness among the local residents about the importance of environmental conservation. From young children to senior citizens, everyone participated with smiles, creating a joyful atmosphere. The event was attended by local social activists, members of women’s groups, youth organizations, and representatives of various housing societies. Citizens appreciated Prof. Kavita Alhat and her team for the successful organization of the program.

By spreading the message “Plant trees in your neighborhood, increase greenery!” this eco-friendly social initiative set an inspiring example, using Ajit Dada Pawar’s birthday as an opportunity for positive change.

Reaction:
“Trees are nature’s priceless gift. To build a pollution-free, clean, and green neighborhood, every citizen should plant at least one tree and take care of it. This is not just our duty but a sustainable investment for the future.”
– Prof. Kavita Alhat, City President, NCP Women’s Wing.
