Pimpri- Chinchwad : In an important update for residents of Punawale, the Forest Department has temporarily closed the popular Oxygen Park due to ongoing development works within the premises. The decision has been taken in the interest of public safety, and citizens have been requested to refrain from visiting the park until official communication regarding its reopening is issued.

According to officials, multiple infrastructure and beautification projects are currently underway at Oxygen Park. Authorities stated that allowing public access during the execution of these works could pose safety risks to visitors, prompting the temporary closure.
Oxygen Park has emerged as one of the most preferred destinations for morning walks, jogging, exercise, and evening strolls among residents of Punawale and nearby areas. The park attracts hundreds of visitors daily and is considered an important green space for the community.
The Forest Department has assured citizens that the park will be reopened once all development activities are completed. Residents have been urged to extend their cooperation and strictly avoid entering the premises until further notice.
Commenting on the development, Corporator Rahul Kalate said, “There can be no compromise when it comes to the safety and well-being of Punawale residents. Once the ongoing development works are completed, citizens will have access to a safer, better-equipped, and more modern Oxygen Park. I appeal to all residents to cooperate with the authorities and avoid entering the park until it is officially reopened.
