Grand Memorial for Mata Ramai Approved in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri, Pune: In a landmark decision reflecting social gratitude and cultural responsibility, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has approved the construction of a grand memorial dedicated to Ramai Ambedkar at the prominent Pimpri Chowk. The proposal for the architectural works received official clearance during the Standing Committee meeting, paving the way for the project to commence soon.
The crucial meeting was held at the Late Mayor Madhukar Pawale Hall in the PCMC headquarters under the chairmanship of Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne. Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Additional Commissioners Kuldeep Jangam, Trupti Sandbhor, Vikrant Bagade, and City Secretary Mukesh Kolap, along with senior officials, were present.

Mata Ramai is revered not just as an individual but as a symbol of immense sacrifice, resilience, and compassion. Her unwavering support to B. R. Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek Barne stated, “This memorial is not merely a project but a legacy of our collective social consciousness. Ensuring high-quality execution and timely completion of the project will be our top priority.”
With this approval, the long-pending demand of citizens is finally set to materialize, marking a proud moment for Pimpri-Chinchwad as it strengthens its identity rooted in social commitment and historical reverence.
