Tragic Accident in Nashik: 9 Killed After Car Falls into Well in Dindori

Nashik, Maharashtra: In a heartbreaking incident, nine members of a family lost their lives after their car plunged into a water-filled well in the Dindori area of Nashik late Friday night. The victims were returning home after attending a private coaching class function when the tragedy occurred.
The incident took place in the Shivajinagar locality of Dindori, where a felicitation and annual gathering event had been at a banquet hall. Students and parents from nearby villages had gathered in large numbers for the program, which concluded around 10 PM.
According to police reports, the Dargode family from Indore village was traveling in an Ertiga car when the driver allegedly lost control, and the vehicle suddenly fell into an uncovered well located in a खेत near the venue. The well was filled with water, making rescue efforts extremely difficult.

The victims include six students along with their parents, making the incident even more devastating.
Preliminary reports suggest that the absence of a protective boundary wall around the well and poor visibility at night may have caused the driver to misjudge the road, leading to the fatal accident. The well is reportedly owned by a local resident, Rajju Raje.
The tragedy has cast a deep shadow of grief across the region, with locals demanding stricter safety measures around open wells and hazardous areas.
