Goa Launches AI Digital Assistant for 24×7 Citizen Services
AI Chatbot to Streamline Online Government Services, Reduce Office Visits, and Enhance Transparency

Panaji | Taking a significant step to make digital governance more efficient and improve citizen-centric service delivery, the Government of Goa today launched an AI-based digital assistant chatbot (beta version) for government online services. The launch event was held at the official residence of the Chief Minister, Mahalaxmi, Altinho.
The digital assistant chatbot is an integrated digital platform designed to provide easy and seamless access to various government services. Available 24 hours a day, the platform enables citizens to apply for services, check application status, download certificates and payment receipts, and receive guided assistance through simple interactions. This initiative is expected to reduce the need for physical visits to government offices, minimize long waiting times, and make citizens’ lives easier while enhancing transparency.

Emphasizing the growing importance of technology, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the initiative enhances transparency, improves efficiency, and brings government services closer to citizens through a responsive and personalized digital experience. He added that the initiative aligns with the Digital India vision and reflects the state government’s commitment to building an inclusive, efficient, and transparent administration with the help of technology.
Currently, the AI chatbot has been launched in its beta version, and citizens are invited to provide feedback and suggestions to further improve and enhance the platform. This initiative complements the Goa AI Mission 2027 and demonstrates the state’s responsible and forward-looking approach to artificial intelligence. Citizens can access these services through the official website. The launch of the AI-based digital assistant marks another important milestone in Goa’s journey toward digitally capable, transparent, and citizen-centric governance in line with the concepts of Viksit Bharat and Viksit Gomantak.
The launch event was attended by Minister of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Tourism, and Printing & Stationery, Mr. Rohan Khaunte; MLA and Chairman of Infotech Corporation of Goa Limited, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye; Goa Chief Secretary Dr. V. Kandvelu (IAS); CEO and Executive Director of GEL, Ms. Revati Kumar; and other senior officials.
