Central Railway to Run 1,448 Special Trains for Summer; Services Extended for Pune, Solapur, Latur, Beed, Nagpur Routes

Pune: In view of the summer vacation rush and increasing passenger demand, Central Railway has decided to operate 1,448 special train services on key routes including Solapur, Beed, Latur, Kolhapur and Nagpur until the Holi festival and through the summer season.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, out of the total 1,448 special services, 328 will operate as Holi Special trains, 148 as Special trains and 972 as Summer Special trains. There will be no change in the timings, routes, halts or composition of these trains, providing relief to passengers.

Train Schedule Details

Train No. 01435 (Solapur–Mumbai), which usually runs on Tuesdays, will now operate from March 3 to March 31. Additionally, it will run between April 7 and April 14 as a special service, April 21 as a special run, and from April 21 to July 14 as a Summer Special with 20 trips planned.

Similarly, the train operating from Mumbai Railway Station to Solapur via Pune and Daund every Wednesday will continue as a Holi Special from April 8 to April 15, as a Special train thereafter, and as a Summer Special from April 22 to July 15, completing 20 trips.

The Solapur–Anakapalle weekly Friday service will run as a Holi Special from March 6 to March 27, as a Special from April 3 to April 10, and as a Summer Special from April 17 to July 10, with 19 trips scheduled.

Considering the growing passenger rush during the summer season, Central Railway will operate weekly, daily and special trains totaling 1,448 services on routes covering Pune, Hadapsar, Mumbai, Solapur, Beed, Latur, Nagpur and Badnera.

Advance reservations for these special trains (except Train No. 01478) will begin from February 16 at all computerized reservation centers and on the official online booking portal. Passengers have been advised to travel safely and avoid overcrowding.
