Mumbai | Western Railway has launched a 10-day intensive public outreach and awareness campaign titled ‘My Ticket, My Pride – My Contribution to a Developed India’ with the objective of encouraging passengers to purchase valid tickets and adopt responsible railway travel practices.

The campaign is being conducted from January 28 to February 6, 2026, across all divisions of Western Railway through a combination of digital platforms, social media, advertisements, and on-ground engagement activities. The initiative seeks to strengthen public participation in nation-building by promoting disciplined and lawful travel.

To enhance passenger interaction at railway stations, interactive stalls, standees, and selfie booths have been set up at one major station in each division. Street plays, passenger engagement games, and interactive activities are also being organized to directly connect with commuters. The campaign is being implemented in a focused manner at selected stations across the Mumbai Central, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar divisions.

As part of an integrated communication strategy, the campaign includes social media outreach, cinema advertisements, SMS alerts, digital promotions, FM radio advertisements, and outdoor publicity. A 30-second animated awareness film will be screened in cinema halls across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, while digital GIF creatives are being displayed on major websites.

Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer Vinit Abhishek stated that passengers are urged to actively participate in the campaign and travel with valid tickets as a symbol of national responsibility. A dedicated campaign stall has been set up at Churchgate station, which will remain operational until February 6, 2026.

Meanwhile, a press conference scheduled to provide further details about the initiative, to be addressed by Western Railway General Manager Vivek Kumar Gupta, was cancelled following the reported demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in an aircraft accident.
