“We Will Overcome the Crisis by Working as ‘Team India’: PM Narendra Modi”
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday emphasized the importance of collective efforts, stating that the nation will overcome ongoing challenges by working together as “Team India.”
The prime minister chaired a high-level virtual meeting with chief ministers of all states to review the country’s preparedness and assess the potential impact of the evolving situation in West Asia. The discussion focused on strengthening coordination between the center and states, ensuring supply chain stability, energy security, and safeguarding citizens’ interests.

During the meeting, several chief ministers appreciated the proactive steps taken by the central government. Senior officials also delivered a detailed presentation to brief participants on the current developments in West Asia.
Recalling India’s effective handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, PM Modi highlighted how coordinated efforts between the Centre and states helped maintain supply chains and stabilize the economy. He stressed that a similar approach is essential in the current scenario, which remains dynamic and requires constant monitoring and swift decision-making.
The Prime Minister stated that an inter-ministerial group has been reviewing the situation daily since March 3 and is taking necessary measures accordingly.
He also directed states to establish helplines, appoint nodal officers, and strengthen district-level support systems for Indian citizens, especially those residing in West Asia. Additionally, he emphasized maintaining continuous engagement with industries, including MSMEs, to ensure stability in production and employment.
PM Modi further urged states to promote alternative energy solutions such as solar power, biofuels, electric mobility, and the expansion of piped natural gas infrastructure. He also called for increased domestic exploration of oil and gas resources to enhance energy security.
