Chasing a target of 211 runs set by Rajasthan, Gujarat could only manage to reach 204 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. This marks Rajasthan’s second victory of the season, while Gujarat is yet to open their winning account.

Invited to bat first, Rajasthan Royals piled up a massive total of 210 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal provided an aggressive start, scoring 55 runs off 36 balls, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a brisk cameo of 31 runs off 18 balls. This opening pair put together a stand of 70 runs in just 6.2 overs. Subsequently, Dhruv Jurel took charge of the innings, crafting a magnificent knock of 75 runs off 42 balls. His innings included 5 fours and 5 sixes.
While chasing the target of 211 runs, Sai Sudharsan played a fighting innings of 73 runs off 44 balls. He shared a 78-run opening partnership with Kumar Kushagra (18). However, the middle-order batsmen failed to deliver. With middle-order players Glenn Phillips (3), Washington Sundar (4), and Rahul Tewatia (12) getting dismissed cheaply, Gujarat’s scoring rate slowed down significantly. In the final overs, Rashid Khan (24) and Rabada (23 not out) made a valiant effort, but they ultimately failed to steer their team to victory.

Gujarat’s ‘Speedstar’ Ashok Sharma achieved the remarkable feat of bowling the final delivery of the 16th over of the innings at a speed of 154 km/h. This proved to be the fastest delivery of the season.
