Matru Pitru Pujan Diwas Celebrated with Devotion at RKL Galaxy International School

Pimpri–Chinchwad : While the nation celebrated Valentine’s Day, RKL Galaxy International School marked the occasion in a unique and culturally enriching manner by observing Matru Pitru Pujan Diwas with great devotion and enthusiasm.

This noble initiative was started in 2014 by the visionary leader and CEO, Dr. Pushkar Choubey. Under his inspiring guidance, the school has consistently upheld this meaningful tradition every year, encouraging students to honor and express gratitude towards their parents.

The celebration was organized class-wise, with parents invited to attend the special program. The event began with vibrant cultural performances presented by students, including melodious songs and graceful dances dedicated to their parents as a symbol of love and respect. The atmosphere turned emotional as children expressed heartfelt gratitude to their first teachers and lifelong supporters — their parents.

A particularly touching moment came when students performed the traditional ritual of worshipping their parents. They offered flowers, applied tilak on their parents’ foreheads, performed aarti, and sought their blessings. The ceremony beautifully reflected deep-rooted Indian values and traditions, reinforcing the importance of respecting and honoring one’s parents.

An interesting highlight of the event was when parents were asked, “What day is today?” Many responded, “Valentine’s Day.” However, the young students of the pre-primary section proudly answered, “Matru Pitru Pujan Diwas.” This heartwarming response reflected the vision of Dr. Choubey, who aims to instill cultural awareness and traditional values in students from an early age, encouraging them to embrace Indian heritage. On this special occasion, parents were also encouraged to return home and pay respect to their own parents, spreading the message that parents are our first love and deserve reverence and gratitude every day.

The celebration concluded on an emotional and joyful note, leaving parents overwhelmed with pride.
