Just minutes before the missile landed directly on the Khamenei home, Mojtaba Khamenei had stepped outside into the garden for a stroll. It was this distance—a mere few steps—that saved his life. However, he sustained leg injuries after being buried under the rubble of the collapsed house.

The Elimination of Family and Top Commanders

The ferocity of the attack was such that Mojtaba Khamenei’s wife and son were killed instantly at the scene. Furthermore, his brother-in-law—along with key pillars of Iran’s security apparatus, IRGC Chief Mohammad Pakpour and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh—were also killed in the attack. The leaked audio recording claims that this was a US-orchestrated plot designed to wipe out the entire Khamenei dynasty in a single strike.

Where Exactly Is Mojtaba Khamenei Now? Mujtaba Khamenei has not made a public appearance since this dramatic attack. There is widespread speculation regarding his health and whereabouts. Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that Mujtaba Khamenei is in a coma, while according to some media reports, he is secretly undergoing medical treatment in Russia. The Iranian government, however, has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
