Kanpur| witnessed a dramatic accident on Sunday afternoon when a speeding Lamborghini caused panic and destruction on a crowded city road. The incident occurred around 3:15 pm near Rave-3 Mall under the Gwaltoli police station limits. The luxury car first collided with a rickshaw and then rammed into a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle, causing severe damage to multiple vehicles.

Eyewitnesses said the Delhi-registered Lamborghini Revuelto was being driven at an extremely high speed. The impact was so intense that the motorcyclist was thrown nearly 10 feet into the air. The car reportedly climbed over the front wheel of the bike, dragged it for several metres, and finally came to a halt after crashing into an electric pole.

One youth, identified as Taufiq Ahmed, sustained critical injuries and was flung several metres due to the collision. He and other injured persons, who suffered serious fractures and wounds, were immediately shifted to hospital, where their condition remains serious.

Police investigations revealed that the car is registered in the name of well-known tobacco businessman K.K. Mishra and was being driven by his son, Shivam Kumar Mishra, at the time of the accident. After the crash, the driver allegedly attempted to flee the scene, while bodyguards accompanying him reportedly misbehaved with eyewitnesses.

This led to outrage among locals, who vandalised the Lamborghini, smashed its windows, and dragged the driver out of the vehicle. Police arrived at the spot in time, rescued the driver from the angry mob, and brought the situation under control.

According to DCP (Central) Atul Kumar Srivastava, the luxury car, valued at over ₹10 crore, has been seized and a case has been registered. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
