India vs Namibia T20 WC: India secured a massive 93-run victory over Namibia in their T20 World Cup clash, registering their biggest win in T20 World Cup history. Delivering a dominant performance in both innings, Team India comfortably sealed the contest. Hardik Pandya impressed with a brilliant all-round display, while Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson provided a strong start with the bat. Once again, India’s bowlers turned out to be the game-changers.

With this win, India recorded their second consecutive victory in the T20 World Cup 2026, making their path to the Super 8 stage much smoother. Namibia, meanwhile, suffered their second straight defeat in the tournament.

Chasing a challenging target of 210 runs, Namibia began cautiously. Openers Steenkamp and Frylinck stitched together a 33-run partnership. After Arshdeep Singh dismissed Frylinck, Steenkamp and Loftie-Eaton added 34 runs. However, the momentum shifted dramatically when Varun Chakravarthy cleaned up Steenkamp with his very first delivery. Namibia then lost wickets in quick succession. Steenkamp scored 29, Frylinck made 22, and Loftie-Eaton added 13 runs. Captain Gerhard Erasmus, who started aggressively with two sixes, was dismissed for 18 runs.

Although Namibia’s top four batters got decent starts, they failed to convert them into big scores against India’s disciplined bowling attack. Varun Chakravarthy was the standout performer with three wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel claimed two wickets each. Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube, and Jasprit Bumrah picked up one wicket apiece.

Earlier, Namibia won the toss and opted to field first. India made a blistering start after being sent in to bat. Sanju Samson smashed 22 runs off just 8 balls, laying the foundation for a big total. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma then dominated the powerplay, adding 86 runs — India’s highest-ever powerplay score in a T20 World Cup match. The team crossed the 100-run mark in just 7 overs, marking their fastest team hundred.

Ishan Kishan played a sensational knock, scoring 61 off 24 balls with six fours and five sixes. Tilak Varma contributed 25 runs, while captain Suryakumar Yadav added 12. Hardik Pandya delivered a powerful innings of 52 off 28 balls, including four fours and four sixes. Shivam Dube chipped in with 23 runs. India eventually posted 209 for 9 in their 20 overs.

Namibia’s bowlers tried to restrict India after the powerplay, picking up quick wickets. Captain Gerhard Erasmus impressed with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 20 runs in his four overs. Ben Shikongo, Smit, and Bernard picked up one wicket each, but it was not enough to stop India’s commanding victory.
