Abhivyakti Art Festival to Light Up Pimpri-Chinchwad with a Grand Cultural Celebration

Renowned artists to headline a two-day cultural extravaganza; Supported by Maheshdada Sports Foundation and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation

Pimpri-Chinchwad | Correspondent : The vibrant city of Pimpri-Chinchwad is all set to witness a spectacular celebration of art, culture, and music with the grand organization of the “Abhivyakti – Celebration of Creative Expression Art Festival 2026.” Organized by Sanskar Bharati (West Region, Pimpri-Chinchwad Committee), the two-day festival will take place on April 25 and 26, 2026, at the iconic G. D. Madgulkar Natyagruha.

This cultural festival promises an immersive experience for art enthusiasts, bringing together a diverse lineup of classical music, dance, theatre, and traditional performances.

The festival will commence on Saturday morning with an inaugural ceremony followed by a lecture on temple architecture by Ojas Hirani. The day will feature a series of captivating performances including Kathak by Shraddha Hardikar Shinde and Dr. Pt. Nandkishor Kapote, along with a mesmerizing Hindustani classical vocal recital by Pt. Kaivalyakumar Gurav. The evening will conclude with a patriotic presentation titled “Sampoorna Vande Mataram,” followed by a lineup of cultural programs extending late into the night.

On Sunday, the festival will continue with a soulful Bahurupi Bharud performance by Dr. Bhavarth Dekhne. The audience will then be treated to “Aathvanincha Gaav,” presented by Rangmudra Theatre Foundation, showcasing the richness of Maharashtra’s folk traditions. A special musical tribute, “Swaranjali – Asha Bhosle Special,” will celebrate the timeless melodies of legendary singer Asha Bhosle.

The second day will also feature classical performances by Pt. Sudhakar Chavan, a Bharatanatyam recital by Dr. Sandhya Purecha, and a flute concert by Padma Shri awardee Pt. Ronu Majumdar. The festival will culminate with the theatrical presentation “Tya Tighi,” narrating the inspiring stories of three women from the Savarkar family, followed by the closing rendition of “Sampoorna Vande Mataram.”

The event is being meticulously curated under the guidance of Leena Aadhav, with strong support from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and Maheshdada Sports Foundation.

Described as a “harmonious confluence of tradition, talent, and melody,” the Abhivyakti Festival aims to reinforce the cultural identity of the city while providing a dynamic platform for artists. Citizens are encouraged to attend in large numbers and experience this enriching cultural celebration.
