The much-awaited comedy entertainer Dhamaal 4 has finally hit theatres, opening to a promising start at the Indian box office. Starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey, the fourth installment of the popular Dhamaal franchise collected ₹10.64 crore on its opening day.

Released on July 10, the film has received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. However, its strong fan following helped it register a respectable opening despite stiff competition from other new releases.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Dhamaal 4 earned ₹10.64 crore on Day 1. While the film managed to outperform the franchise’s first two installments, it fell short of the opening-day record set by Total Dhamaal.
Dhamaal Franchise Box Office Comparison
The original Dhamaal opened with ₹2.38 crore and went on to collect ₹50.73 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Double Dhamaal, earned ₹7.6 crore on its opening day before finishing with a worldwide gross of ₹70.54 crore.
The biggest performer in the franchise remains Total Dhamaal, which opened at ₹16.5 crore and eventually collected an impressive ₹228.7 crore worldwide.
With an opening of ₹10.64 crore, Dhamaal 4 has comfortably surpassed the first two films but couldn’t match the blockbuster opening of Total Dhamaal.
Occupancy and Box Office Competition
The film recorded an average 18.47% theatre occupancy on Friday. It is currently facing competition from Alia Bhatt’s Alpha and Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle, making the coming weekend crucial for its overall box office performance.
Budget and Star Cast
Dhamaal 4 is reportedly made on a budget of around ₹150 crore. Along with Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Javed Jaffrey, the film also features Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Upendra Limaye, and Anjali Anand in key roles.
‘Dhamaal 5’ Officially Announced
In a surprise for fans, the makers officially announced Dhamaal 5 during the film’s post-credit scene. The fifth installment is already in development and will reportedly be directed by Farhad Samji.
While many fans are excited about another sequel, others have questioned whether the franchise really needs another installment.
