PCCOER wins first place in ‘SAE India E-Baha 2026’ National Competition
PCCOER wins 11 medals and Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand prize money
Pune: In the “SAE India E-Baha 2026” National Competition organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers at Pithampur, “Team Nashorns” from the Mechanical Department of Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research (PCCOER) in Ravet, Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET), performed brilliantly and won first place in the country with a total of 11 medals and a prize money of Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand. More than a hundred engineering colleges from across the country participated in this competition.
PCCOER’s Team Nashorns won first place in various categories like Durability, Excellence, Overall Physical Dynamics, Suspension and Traction and third place in Static, Intellectual, CAE categories as well as the Best Debut Award. PCCOER students have brought laurels to the college by winning first place at the national level in their debut in this national competition. PCET President Dnyaneshwar Landge said that this golden moment has been witnessed due to the combined efforts of all the students in this team, their mentors, principals, coordinators and the infrastructure provided by the PCET management.
Student captain Saurabh Patil, vice-captain Mahendra Kumbhar, driver Sajid Mulani, Prithviraj Patil, Akhilesh Wanjpay, Devendra Patil, Omkar Shejwal, Dheeraj Patil, Austin George, Hemant Patil, Parth Pandekar, Jay Pagare, Rashmeet Goyal, Shrikrishna Mane, Vishwajit Patil, Pranav Kamble, Vishwajit Kolhe, Dishant Pipere, Shrirang Nair, Soham Shelar, Ayush Patil, Samarjit Tanpure, Aditya Mane, and Om Bade from PCCOER participated in this.
Principal Dr. Harish Tiwari, Head of Department Dr. Gulab Siraskar, Prof. Sukhdeep Chougule, Sujit Chaudhary guided the students.
