Pimpri chinchwad : “Providing transparent and easily accessible governance through digital platforms is a top priority of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC),” stated Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh. He was speaking at the inauguration of a newly developed dedicated webpage for the Social Development Department of PCMC.With all schemes of the department now available at a single click, more eligible citizens will be able to access and benefit from them, Singh added. The initiative aims to bring technological transparency and efficiency to the functioning of the Social Development Department.The event was attended by Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate, Chief Auditor Pramod Bhosale, Joint Commissioner Manoj Lonkar, Municipal Secretary Mukesh Kolap, Deputy Commissioner of Social Development Mamata Shinde, and various officials and staff from multiple departments. Under the guidance of Commissioner Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil, the Social Development Department is implementing a wide range of public welfare schemes. These include schemes for women and child welfare, welfare of persons with disabilities, schemes for backward classes, and several other sub-schemes. Through these programs, eligible beneficiaries receive financial assistance, services, and other benefits. To ensure that information about all these initiatives is easily accessible, and to make the application process faster and more transparent, a dedicated webpage has been launched for the Social Development Department. The newly developed webpage https://www.pcmcindia.gov.in/samaj_vikas provides detailed information on all schemes, required documents, application procedures, and initiatives undertaken by the department. Beneficiaries can apply online, and the eligible amount will be directly credited to their bank accounts.

Citizens can access this new webpage via the “Important” section under the “Social Development Department” tab on PCMC’s official website. This initiative is expected to enhance technological transparency and administrative efficiency, further strengthening citizen-centric governance
