Samantha Confirms Pregnancy, Announces Maternity Break

Popular South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has officially confirmed her pregnancy, ending weeks of speculation surrounding her personal life. The actress made the announcement during a success event for her recently released film Maa Inti Bangaaram in Hyderabad, where she also revealed plans to take a maternity break from acting.

The announcement comes just days after the film’s successful release and follows widespread discussions on social media regarding Samantha’s reported pregnancy. Addressing the speculation for the first time, the actress shared that she and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, are expecting their first child together.

Speaking to the media, Samantha said she would complete her ongoing professional commitments before stepping away from work for a period of time.

“After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will need to take a short break depending on my health. I will be going on maternity leave and will return with another film for my fans,” the actress said.

Samantha was previously married to Naga Chaitanya in 2017. The couple announced their separation in 2021. She later married Raj Nidimoru in December 2025 at the Isha Yoga Center.
